Iris Scott (b. 1984) is known for her kaleidoscopic palette and unique technique of fine art finger painting. For over a decade, she has focused on brush-free mark-making, manipulating thick oils with just the tips of her fingers.

Her journey as a finger-painter began in Taiwan, at the age of 26, when she ran out of clean brushes and used her digits to complete a quickly drying painting. These finger-paintings earned her half a million followers on social media and took her to New York, where she lived and worked in a Brooklyn loft space for six years. In New York, Iris was represented by Filo Sofi Arts.
Her 2019 solo show, “Ritual in Pairing”, held in Chelsea, was praised by Jerry Saltz and received coverage from outlets including New York Magazine, Smithsonian Magazine, and Artnet. On the West coast, Iris is represented by Adelman Fine Art.

In late 2019, Iris moved with her family to a remote corner of New Mexico, where she built a home and studio. Iris is inspired by the wonders of the natural world, from which she finds endless inspiration.
